To create the best art possible, we approach the tattoo process a bit differently from the standard tattoo shop.
We work at our best when you come to us with a working concept, or a group of ideas, images, or objects to start from. Alternatively, when you have an idea about where you would like to get the tattoo but are unsure as to what exactly you'd like to get, you can schedule a consult with an artist and generate ideas in a brainstorming session.
Once the initial concept, placement, and composition are established the artist can begin the drawing phase of the process. There is a required deposit that varies depending on the particular artist and the size and scope of the project itself.
For some projects, we may ask you to come in for a second sizing, to ensure that the placement and design is optimal, and to adjust for any alterations or changes to the design. From there, the artist creates the finalized design.
During the first session, the artist lays down the line work and any of the base layers needed. Following appointments are typically based around building the colors and contrast, until the final session when the project is completed.
